I think that 'new' firmware just screwed my hard drives: I was wondering if there was any way Asus G53Jw Notebook Aflash2 could find the old firmware my computer was sold with. It was working very fine, I don't know why in hell I thought upgrading it was a good idea Please help me rescue my poor hard drives and my G73JH which was working fine before Have you gotten any feedback yet about what could have gone wrong?
GorTrull Hello front, No I haven't had any feedback yet, though I could somewhat rescue my computer.
I'm not exactly sure how I did it, I installed the firmware a couple times, did some 'repairing of windows files' through the maintenance at startup and physically removed one of my drives, only leaving the one with windows on it. I've got to admit I didn't run one right before flashing the drives, but I'm guessing everything was Ok before. Then windows started at some point and installed drivers for STAS for Asus G53Jw Notebook Aflash2 reason.
When I could do simple tasks again without the computer freezing, I added the second drive. It installed drivers again and now I'm crossing fingers but it looks to be running fine.
I had a clicking noise while writing this message which froze my browser for like half a second, but then came back clicking didn't occur for couple hours though so I'm guessing the firmware does weird things with reading heads but it looks alright and improving with hours. I hope I'm out of danger now that I got my computer up and running, but I wouldn't recommand installing this firmware without any feedback on the issues I Asus G53Jw Notebook Aflash2.
I'd also like to know more about the reading heads does anyone also experienced it? Such a bad idea updating this firmware, I would be so grateful to anyone telling me how I could get back the ones I had or any stable non clicking, flawless one front I found an Asus G53Jw Notebook Aflash2 navigating this thread on another forum http: Thus I updated my firmware to version SDM1 as included in the dell auto-extractable archive linked in that post and guess what: Gortrull edit: Chastity ASUS Some1 Hey Chastity!
Thanks a lot for creating this, really saved me after reformatting. D BTW, dunno if u knew about this but when searching for a model in ASUS' download section u can search for "Express gate" and get a page with all the versions that ever existed.
You can cause issues or even brick if you use a later version. I'm wondering about the following from your very helpful beginning to this thread. Which of the following updates would you reccomend I install?
Core Drivers: Just use default settings and let her run. Realtek Audio driver v2.

About the RST drivers, you said there is no reason Asus G53Jw Notebook Aflash2 to use the MS driver; I was wondering if you tested it with with something such as HD Tune in both environments or if it is just what you noticed? If you would like me to post links let me know and I will.
Have a good day. Some1 I already tried installing the newer version.
